I am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with my master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver, bachelor's degree in Psychology from Colorado College, and I am a 200-hour certified yoga instructor.
In addition to training the body with movement, nourishing foods, and proper recovery, it is imperative to train the mind for optimal performance. The brain is the most powerful muscle in the body - and it's time to learn how to use it your advantage.
My passion for Sport and Performance Psychology stems from my career in competitive gymnastics, collegiate diving, and teaching yoga and meditation. I found the field of Sport and Performance Psychology as an anxious gymnast when I experienced that my physical performance and "mental game" were intimately related. I realized that I could befriend my mind to be my ally, not my enemy, and that the body is a conduit of information and wisdom begging to be respected and acted upon.
I specialize in working with competitive gymnasts, rock climbers, and working professionals to overcome barriers and experience more presence and power physically, professionally, and personally.
Now, for the big question:
Are you ready rise up & realize your potential?

Samantha Buxbaum, M.A., CMPC
"Sam is insightful, professional and has the ability to genuinely connect with others. Working with Sam allowed me to explore my sports goals, motivations and perceived obstacles in a critical and open way. This new mental perspective, paired with the tangible steps that Sam helped me create, has been crucial to improving my performance. But by far the most valuable part of working with Sam was gaining mental tools and insight that I can apply to all aspects of my life, not only sports, in order to feel more fulfilled and happy each day." - Anonymous (for client confidentiality)
"Coach Sam and I have been working together for over a year on everything from stress management, focus, celebrating triumphs, and dealing with everyday setbacks. Sam is deeply committed to seeing you succeed, enthusiastic about her work, a superb listener, and has a knack for quickly building the deep trust necessary for her to provide valuable unbiased feedback . Although I initially sought her expertise to be more successful at work, after those initial successes, I started to apply the same skills in all aspects of my life and have reaped tremendous rewards. If you are committed to succeeding AND to being the best partner, friend, or family member you can be, you owe it to yourself to begin your own journey with Sam as your guide." - Anonymous (due to client confidentiality)"Sam is insightful, professional and has the ability to genuinely connect with others.
