Kaysha Heck graduated from Regis University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. She then pursued Residency Training in Sports Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. A native of Washington State, Kaysha spent most of her childhood in the gym as a high-level competitive gymnast, starting at age three and competing collegiately where she achieved both academic and athletic honors. With a special interest in working with gymnasts, Kaysha has remained actively involved in the sport by motivating, coaching, researching, and educating athletes, coaches, parents, and medical providers. In 2019, she became a Sports Certified Specialist. Kaysha now resides in Jackson, Wyoming, where she works as a sports physical therapist, helping local athletes and coaching gymnastics. Her unique perspective as an athlete, coach, and medical provider informs her approach to the prevention, rehabilitation, and performance of young athletes. Through her practice at The Resilient Athlete, Kaysha aims to empower gymnasts with evidence-based information on injury prevention, rehabilitation, performance improvement, and seamlessly bridging the gap between the early stages of rehab and a return to gymnastics.
